Overview

CookSafe is the first Fully Integrated Range Hood - Fire Suppression System for 30" Residential Ranges. Our under-cabinet range hood incorporates a Triple Protection system to eliminate damages or injuries that may result from a stove top fire.

HOT - CookSafe's Internal temperature sensors signal the controller to turn the Fan on 'High', removing heat from the area and reducing the fire potential;

FIRE - As the heat rises to a critical level, the temperature sensors DISCONNECT power from the gas or electric source, further potential for a large fire;

EXTINGUISH! - When one of the 3 Fusible Links melts from the heat, the wet chemical agent is sprayed over the surface of the stove, blanketing the fire, while cooling the surfaces and causing saponification of the oil if present. An internal buzzer sounds and the external alarm outputs are triggered;

LOCK OUT - Once discharged, the range may not be operated until CookSafe is serviced and reset, as the energy source remains disconnected.

CookSafe has been engineered to meet the needs of limited commercial operations in a residential setting. Designed with Type 1 systems in mind, our patented system incorporates many features of NFPA 96 to meet the needs of a smaller scale cooking situations presented by residential environments.

Extensive testing has proven that CookSafe is effective in extinguishing substantial grease laden range top fires in seconds. The features of the product include:

- Industry Standard Wet Chemical Agent
- Stove Power Disconnect
- Fusible link and spray nozzles including the fan compartment
- Stainless grease vapor filter and drip pan
- Front panel system and pressure vessel status indications
- Remote actuation - pull station
- Commercial grade components throughout
- Active Temperature sensing to turn the fan on and the power off before the fire grows
- Alarm outputs for both local and remote systems!
