Cooksafe is a patented under-cabinet range hood that incorporates a Triple Protection system to eliminate damages or injuries that may result from a range top fire.

HOT - CookSafe's controller turns the Fan on 'High', removing heat from the area;

FIRE - Energy is disconnected from the burners (gas or electric). A remote valve or relay is operated by the controller to shutoff the burners;

EXTINGUISH! - When one of the 3 Fusible Links melts from the heat, the extinguishing agent is sprayed over the surface of the stove, blanketing the fire, while cooling the surfaces and causing saponification of the oil if present. An internal buzzer sounds and the external alarm system is triggered

LOCK OUT - Once discharged, the range may not be operated until CookSafe is serviced and reset, as the energy source remains disconnected.

HOW IT WORKS!

CookSafe is specifically designed to fight Grease Laden Fires, through an active temperature sensor, intelligent electronic controller and failsafe pressurized extinguishing system.

As the temperature rises, the powerful fan is turned on to high to help dissipate heat.

Once the second temperature setting is reached, the control system will disconnect the energy source for the range - either through a gas valve or electrical disconnect.

As the fire reaches the hood surface, one of the three fusible links will melt and discharge the extinguishing agent on the range surface.

Alternately, a remote pull may be connected and the discharge controlled manually from a safe distance.
