The CookSafe CV was engineered specifically to meet the needs for "Limited Commercial" applications where occasional or limited cooking takes place over a residential stove in a semi-public or residential occupancy.

The CV system design incorporates many of the requirements presented in NFPA 96 and NFPA 17A:

- 18 and 20 Ga stainless steel construction
- Sealed joints
- Wet chemical fire suppression system - mechanically fail safe;
- Conventional use of a spring loaded cable / Fusible link release system;
- Multiple capped spray nozzles including one in the fan compartment;
- Integrated Fuel Disconnect - Gas or Electric;
- Integrated temperature sensing at 2 set points: Turn fan on @165 Deg; Disconnect Stove energy @195 Deg;
- Stainless grease vapor filter and drip pan;
- Front panel system and pressure vessel status and stove power indications;
- Remote actuation - manual pull station option;
- Commercial grade components throughout.

As part of the development process, CookSafe has been certified to UL 300A and UL507 with the nationally recognized testing laboratory ETL/SEMKO  to satisfy fire and building codes in the US and abroad, as well as NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) health codes in the United States.
